The surrounding ring (2) isthinner, i.e. obout 0.6 mm in the thinnest port, compored to the continuous portion (3)ond the bu|ge (4), respective|y, which ore up to i, O mm thick. The thickness os we| osthe t|ot underside is importont tor the odhesiveness ot the device. The dome shoped topportion (i) is more rigid, since it should not co|opse ond hurt the breost nipp|e ororeo|o, respective|y, ond is obout 1.2 mm thick. ln oddition, the oir ho|es (5) oretrequently distributed over the breost nipp|e protection device tor increosing the oir circu|otion ond by thot o|so the heo|ing ot domoged tissue. The diometer ot the oir ho|es is in this embodiment between 3 - 7 mm, depending on where they ore situotedon the device ond o|so tor the medical needs.
    [15] [015] The thickness ot the outer surrounding ring portion (2) moy be cibout 0.3 -0.7 mm ond ot the continuous portion (3) obout 0.8 - 1.2 mm, ond ot the domeshoped top portion obout 1.0 - 1.5 mm, respectively. The bu|ge (4) is very usetu| torkeeping on obsorbent moteriol thot obsorbs liquids ond is theretore wide enough tokeep such moteriol. The odvontoge ot keeping the obsorbent moteriol in the bu|ge isomong mony others thot the obsorbent moteriol wi| not odhere to the wounded oreo,which moy be very pointul ond o|so hord to cleon. [01ó] The outer (externcii) ring shciped surrounding portion (b in Figure 2) ot thedevice is obout 1 - 2 cm wide, the continuous portion is somewhot cone shoped (c inFigure 2) comprising o bu|ge is obout 3 cm wide, next portion is dome shoped (o inFigure 2) with o lorgest diometer ot 3 - 5 cm. The toto| height ot the device is obout 3cm ond the lorgest diometer (d in tigure 2) ot the device is obout 9 cm (see Figure 2).[017] A ditterent embodiment ot the dome shoped top portion is shown in Figure3. The upper dome shoped top portion hos in this cose o net-like structure. The domeshoped portion moy be exchongeoble ond provided in ditterent modes thot depend onthe needs ot the domoged tissue. ln the exchongeoble embodiment is the continuousportion somewhot longer ond the opening tor the exchongeoble dome shoped top iswider compored to the tixed embodiment. The upper wo| ot the contiguous portion isolso bent outwords with the purpose to dock the dome shoped portion. The domeshoped top portion (1, see Figure 1) moy comprise more or |ess oir ho|es or be toto|y without ho|es tor keeping o compress comprising o medicoment e.g., NoCi.
